Cancellation policy

This Subscription and Cancellation Policy explains the material terms of KnowItBy's automatically renewing membership. It is part of the Terms of Service.

1. Membership plans

Each plan unlocks the same KnowItBy membership features. The difference is the billing interval:

  • Weekly: $1.99 every week after the free trial.
  • Monthly: $6.99 every month after the free trial.
  • Yearly: $69.99 every year after the free trial.

Taxes may apply. The checkout page shows the selected plan, amount due today, renewal amount, and billing schedule before you confirm.

2. Seven-day free trial

Eligible new memberships begin with a seven-day free trial and a $0.00 initial charge. A valid payment method is required. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the selected membership price will be charged automatically at the end of the seventh day. The membership then renews at the selected weekly, monthly, or yearly interval until cancelled.

Trial eligibility may be limited to one trial per customer or payment method. Starting another account does not guarantee another trial.

3. Authorization and automatic renewal

By selecting the recurring-billing consent checkbox and confirming membership checkout, you expressly authorize our secure payment providers to charge your selected payment method for the recurring amount and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. We retain a record of that consent as required by law. Renewal dates are shown in your membership center. The actual posting date can vary slightly by payment provider or time zone.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel without contacting support:

  1. Sign in to your KnowItBy account.
  2. Open Account settings.
  3. Select Manage membership.
  4. Select Cancel membership and confirm.

You may cancel at any time. To avoid the first charge, cancel before the seven-day trial ends. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before the next renewal date shown in your membership center. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated during cancellation, access continues through the end of the trial or paid billing period. Cancelling a membership does not automatically delete your account or study work.

5. Plan changes

You may request an available plan change from the membership center. Before you confirm, the screen will show the new plan, price, and effective timing. Depending on the change and payment-provider rules, a change may take effect immediately or at the next renewal. Any credit, prorated charge, or new renewal date will be shown before confirmation.

6. Payment failures

If a payment fails, we or our providers may retry the payment and send you a notice. Membership access may be paused or cancelled if payment remains unsuccessful. You can update your payment method through the secure membership or profile area. We do not charge a separate KnowItBy late fee.

7. Price changes

We may change membership prices prospectively. We will provide advance notice when required by law. A price change will not be applied to an existing renewal without the notice or consent required in your jurisdiction.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. Cancelling by itself does not retroactively refund a completed renewal unless required by law or stated in that policy.

9. Renewal notices

We provide material-change, price-change, trial, and annual-renewal notices when required by applicable law. For yearly memberships, we send a reminder at least 15 and no more than 45 days before automatic renewal. The reminder identifies the membership, renewal amount and frequency, and how to cancel. You are responsible for keeping your account email current and for reviewing notices and the renewal date displayed in your membership center.

10. Help

If you cannot access self-service cancellation or believe a renewal was processed incorrectly, use our contact page or email support@knowitby.com. We can review and cancel an active membership for you after verifying the account.
